Carpet Re-stretch

Carpet Re-Stretching Services in the Coachella Valley

Are unsightly wrinkles, ripples, or bulges ruining the look of your carpet? Over time, heavy foot traffic, humidity shifts, moving heavy furniture, or improper initial installation can cause carpet to loosen from its tack strips. Loose carpet isn’t just an eyesore—it’s also a tripping hazard that accelerates wear and tear on your carpet fibers.

At Flooring Innovations, our professional carpet re-stretching and repair services restore the smooth, taut, and flawless appearance of your wall-to-wall carpets, extending their lifespan and saving you the cost of premature replacement.

What Causes Carpet Wrinkles?

If your carpet is loose, wrinkled, or rippling, there are a few potential causes:

  • Natural wear: High-traffic hallways, living rooms, and suites naturally experience fiber relaxation over time.
  • Heavy furniture: Dragging heavy furniture without lifting can damage carpet and pull it away from its tack strips.
  • Pad damage: Over time, deteriorated padding beneath your carpet reduces tension and leads to rippling.
  • Inadequate installation: When carpet isn’t installed with a commercial-grade power stretcher, it often develops ripples within a few years.

Our Carpet Re-Stretching Process

At Flooring Innovations, we fix the root of the problem. We start by thoroughly inspecting your carpet, padding, and subfloor. From there, we use heavy-duty power stretchers to apply even tension across the entire room. Afterwards, excess carpet is precisely trimmed, tucked, and firmly locked into reinforced tack strips. We’ll also repair any stressed seams or edges for a flawless, uniform look.
