Flooring Innovations is a privately owned company begun in June of 2005 by Bill Nicholson. Bill had worked within the flooring industry at Dupont as a retail store planner for 7 years. During that time, Bill helped to create the concept of a Stainmaster Flooring Center and then set out travelling the country, turning carefully selected but ordinary flooring stores into flagship Stainmaster Flooring Centers.

During all of his travels, Bill picked up a tremendous amount of knowledge about the nuances of the flooring industry from his newly found dealer friends. With the support of all of his comrades within Dupont and around the country, Bill decided to open his own Stainmaster Flooring Center within the Coachella Valley.
